But the mud swallowed him. Timun Mas was safe. She returned home and hugged Mbok Srini.

One day, their kingdom was attacked by Bandung Bondowoso, a powerful prince. In the battle, King Baka was defeated. Bandung Bondowoso then saw Roro Jonggrang and fell in love with her.
“Roro Jonggrang, marry me,” said Bandung Bondowoso.
Roro Jonggrang remained silent. She did not want to marry the man who had defeated her father. But she also knew that Bandung Bondowoso was very powerful.
“Very well,” Roro Jonggrang said. “But I have one condition.”
“What is your condition?” asked Bandung Bondowoso.
“Build one thousand temples in one night. If you succeed, I will marry you.”
Bandung Bondowoso smiled confidently. “That is easy for me.”
That night, he called an army of spirits.
“Build one thousand temples before dawn!” he ordered.
The spirits worked quickly. Large stones were arranged into magnificent temples. Roro Jonggrang watched from afar and grew worried.
